Connie LeGrand returns to WSPA to join Tom Crabtree as co-anchor of the 5:30 newscast. Most recently she worked as a professor at USC Upstate and will cover education issues for the On Your Side team.

After several years with the FOX network’s SPEED Channel, where she anchored NASCAR and racing news seen across the nation and in several countries, she is thrilled to be back covering news in the Upstate.

A Clemson graduate, she earned her master’s degree from the University of Georgia before anchoring news for more than a decade in the Carolinas. An Emmy award winning writer, Connie volunteers with various Upstate organizations. She and her son Cole enjoy taking Big Dog, their black lab, on great adventures across the Carolinas.
