It was like a scene out of the Dukes of Hazard tonight when deputues arrest a father and son out of Simpsonville.

Investigators say a Greenville County deputy was in route to the jail with 46-year-old Richard Eugene Alexander.....when he started kicking at the window.

Another deputy was following with the prisoner's son...28-year-old Richard Chad Alexander.

The deputies pulled over on Highway 25 and that's when the elder Alexander managed to kick the window frame out....and quickly squeeze through the opening.

He led both deputies on a foot chase for about three minutes before they captured him.

EMS did check him out on scene.....he said his ribs hurt.

Richard Eugene Alexander was orginally arrested on two counts of posession of a stolen vehicle and one count of receiving stolen goods. He will also be charged with escape and malicious damage.

His son faces a grand larceny charge.
