A teenager is dead following a motorcycle crash in Boiling Springs. South Carolina Highway Patrol Troopers say the teen was driving a motorcycle on Wells Drive Tuesday afternoon when it went off the right side of the street near Belcher Road in Boiling Springs.  The Spartanburg County Coroner says Dustin Taylor Adams 18, was thrown from the motorcycle and died from head injuries.

We did some digging and found there is no helmet law for people 21 and over.  However, South Carolina law does require riders under 21 to wear a helmet.  The South Carolina Drivers Manual for motorcycles says that statistics prove most motorcycle fatalies are the result of head injuries in accidents.
