In a joint announcement by the Laurens Mayor’s office and Laurens City Council site preparation will begin on Monday for a Wal-Mart Supercenter. The building will be located at 922 East Main Street. The groups say that this development will lead to more projects in the city.

The current Wal-Mart store is located at 917 East Main Street in Laurens.
