A mid-afternoon wreck shut down portions of Interstate 85 in Anderson County for a short time today.

According to the Highway Patrol, the wreck happened around mile marker 19 at 2:26 this afternoon. News Channel 7 photojournalist David Jolley says that two vehicles were involved in the wreck and that the wreck shut down the southbound lanes for a period of time.

Jolley reports that one of the vehicles, a minivan, was flipped over and another vehicle, a Jeep, was involved.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol says that a child in the minivan was transported to the hospital by a relative who was following them with non-life threatening injuries.
