Winds Cause Damage, Power Outages Throughout Upstate

High winds caused power outages and damage throughout the Upstate Sunday evening.

The Highway Patrol reported multiple trees in roadways in both Greenville and Spartanburg Counties.  There were also reports of trees falling on cars and houses in Spartanburg.

As of 11p.m Sunday night, Duke Energy reported nearly 2,000 locations in Spartanburg County were without power. 

Winds were expected to pick up overnight with gusts of 30 miles per hour at times.
