Gaffney's Matthew Hopper placed second at the state 4A golf championship.

Save This PageGaffney finished second as a team and the Indians' Matthew Hopper placed second in the individual standings as the state AAAA golf championship wrapped-up at Furman Tuesday.
Hopper finished four strokes behind repeat individual champ Wesley Bryan of Dutch Fork. His team ran away with the overall crown, placing 39 strokes ahead of the field.
Dorman was the next highest finisher of area teams in fourth place.
