The number of HIV and AIDS cases are rising in our area.
South Carolina now ranks 7th in the nation for the most AIDS cases and 9th for cases of HIV.
Health experts say with World AIDS day coming up December 1st the community needs to know this a problem that is only getting worse.
That’s why South Carolina’s Department of Health and Environmental Control is offering free testing in Pickens, Spartanburg and Cherokee counties.
If you are going in Spartanburg you need to make an appointment. You can call them at 864-596-2227.

In observance of World AIDS Day, free HIV testing will be offered at the following DHEC Public Health Departments on Monday, December 1, 2008 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
