Accident in Spartanburg

Spartanburg Public Safety says shortly after 3pm Saturday afternoon a car ran into a brick sign for Essex Square in Spartanburg. Captain Steve Lamb says the driver of the vehicle is in stable but serious condition at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Investigators are still trying to figure out what happened. This was a single car accident and Captain Lamb says the car was totally destroyed. The name of the driver is not available at this time.
The accident happened at the corner of Camelot Drive and Winchester Place.
