While the rain over Thanksgiving weekend was a welcome site to Anderson Water officials, they said they’ll need a lot more before they can consider repealing mandatory water restrictions.
Scott Willett of the Anderson Joint Regional Water System says the little bit of rain we’ve recently received is good news—he’ll take all he can get.
But he wishes we received rain like they did in Columbia this weekend.
Willet says we need a lot of rain over an extended period time to replenish the water table and the creeks and streams which feed into Lake Hartwell.
He says the lake is up about an inch and a half.
