Crews Search For Missing Oconee Man

OCONEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
(WEST UNION, SC) – It’s been three days and search crews are still searching for a missing Oconee man.
Wednesday morning emergency crews continued to search for James Thomas Orr, a 62 year old man who was last seen at his residence around 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 5. The search began early Monday at Orr’s residence of 115 Mountain Springs Road in the West Union community.
Investigators believe that Orr left his residence on foot. He is described as a gray haired white male with a beard, wears glasses, and is 6’1” in height and weighs approximately 350 pounds. He is thought to have been wearing tennis shoes when he was last seen.
Searchers from the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office, Oconee County Emergency Services, and several area rescue squads are continuing their efforts to locate Mr. Orr this afternoon. Anyone who may have any information as to the whereabouts of Mr. Orr is urged to contact the Sheriff’s Office at (864) 638-4111.
