Three Arrested In Murder Of Laurens County Man

Three people are in custody Wednesday in connection with the shooting death of a man in Laurens County.
The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office says 22-year-old Reginald Antwan Lindsay of Chappels was standing alongside Puckett Ferry Road with friends Tuesday night when a car pulled up, and an argument began between occupants of the car and the group. Shots were fired from the automobile, hitting Lindsay in the lower back or side. He attempted to run a short ways, but collapsed and died. Deputies have arrested 18 year old Travis Maurice Owens and 16 year old Terrence Owens of 101 Laurensview Drive in Laurens in connection with the Lindsay’s death. A 15 year old juvenile is alson charged in the crime.

This is just unbelievable to me. I am a distant relative of these young men, and I just found out about this at work. I have been meaning to contact my people back home to find out about this shooting. This is indeed a travesty. PLEASE Mom and Dads lets get our acts together and raise these young black men to be empowered by education and spirituality instead of foolishness and violence… I’m not saying that this family did the latter, but something has to give. Do we need another Million Man March? I am devastated at this terrible tragic news. My prayers go out to both families, and again I beg that we come together and be mindful of what we are instilling in our youth, especially our male youth!!! Much love and God Bless

SOMETIMES I JUST SIT BACK AND WONDER WHAT IS THIS WORLD COMING 2? AS I THINK ABOUT ALL OF THE LIVES TAKEN BY OTHERS FOR A SENSELESS REASON..I FIND MYSELF SHEDIN TEARS. I am so glad the killers have been caught and I hope they are all tried and sentenced as adults..This was unnecessary and leaves several families mourning and searching for answers..

Anyone that knew Twan knew he didn’t deserve to have his life cut short.He was a loving,generous, and a all around person.Its just so hard to believe that he is no longer here with us.No one in Twan’s family deserves this especially his son.To the people responsible for this henious crime.I hope the most harsh punishment is given.NO MERCY.

This is a senseless tragedy that took the life of a young father, son and brother. I hope they find the killers and throw the book at them..R.I.P. TWAN!!
