After an 8-year-old child was shot during a shooting in Greer on Sunday, Greer Police told us Monday the shooting was no accident.

Officers said witnesses reported a car driving into the neighborhood, opening fire into a home and taking off.

Police told News Channel 7, the child has non-life threatening injuries.

Witnesses saw a small burgundy car leaving the scene around the time of the shooting at 8:30pm.

Police told us they are looking for three suspects in the shooting and believe the home was targeted.

News Channel 7 attempted to speak to the family but they weren’t home on Monday afternoon.

Police said this was the second second shooting in two weeks. It’s possible, officers told us, that this shooting happened when suspects missed there target and came back.

Officers are still investigating the case. If you have any information call 911.
