Duke Energy’s website shows that over 1,800 customers are still without power as of Tuesday. The Upstate was affected by storms through the area on Monday night which led to many trees and power lines coming down. Duke says that 20,000 customers lost power due to the storms last night.
A spokesperson for Duke Energy says they are bringing in additional workers from another Duke Energy region in NC to help.
Right now they have fixed the major problems but they are down to scattered outages. Duke Energy estimates power will be restored to all customers by 6pm Tuesday night.
The most outages are in Spartanburg County, with more than 1,400 customers still without power.
Duke Energy reminds customers that if they have experienced an outage to make sure and call 1-800-POWER ON to report their outage.
