The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office says a woman was wounded and the hunt is on for suspects after a shooting early Thursday morning.
The shots rang out at a home at 512 Quartermaster Drive around 4:00am Thursday. The Sheriff’s Office written release says one of the occupants of the residence told officers he heard car doors slam and then the sounds of someone coming into the home.
Investigators say Norman Lance Garner, 39, exchanged gunfire with two suspects. A 22-year old woman was shot once in the leg and was transported to Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Her injuries were described as non-life threatening.
Deputies say they recovered a handgun, what is believed to be marijuana and other forensic evidence at the scene. The investigation isn’t complete, but the Sheriff’s Office says criminal charges are forthcoming.
