AUSTELL, Ga. (AP) - A popular roller coaster that hit and killed a teenager over the weekend will reopen on Wednesday.
State Labor Commissioner Michael Thurmond said the Batman ride at Six Flags Over Georgia will be re-opened at 9 a.m. Wednesday. He also recommended that more security personnel should be stationed in the area and that more signs and fencing should be posted around the attraction.
Asia LeeShawn Ferguson IV of Columbia, S.C., died Saturday at Six Flags Over Georgia. Police said he hopped two fences and wandered into a restricted area where he was decapitated by the roller coaster. He was 17.
