The Spartanburg County Solicitor’s Office says Leroy Leek, on trial for the murder of Douglas Postell in May 2007, was found guilty of voluntary manslaughter and sentenced to 30 years in prison Thursday afternoon.
Officers found Postell’s body in a shallow grave, just 300-yards behind this home on Clifton Glendale Road.
The coroner’s office says Postell bled to death.
Leek was charged with murder. His girlfriend, 41 year old Tammy Emory is charged with being an accessory to murder.
Deputies say she helped cover up the crime.
