The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office is searching a man accused of robbing a woman in her car with her children.
According to an incident report, a 26-year old woman was sitting in her car with her three young children at a stop sign at the intersection of S. Georgia Ave. and E. Manning St. in Chesnee when she noticed a black male standing at her window. The woman told officers that her window in her car was down and the man reached in and grabed her hair, put a handgun to her forehead and demanded her purse.
The woman says she complied with the demands and the suspect left the scene on foot. The woman says that the man made away with social security cards, pictures of her family and several medications.
The suspect is described as a black male, between 28-32 years old, approximately 6-foot tall, weighing 185 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. The victim told officers the man was wearing a blue Duke University hat, a white t-shirt and black jeans.
