Greenville resident George Hincapie has earned another shot to compete for a gold medal at this summer’s Olympic games in Beijing.

The 35-year-old has again been selected for Team USA, the fifth time in his career that he’s been a member of the American team.  No USA cyclists has competed more than three times in the games.

Hincapie is probably best known as Lance Armstrong’s former teammate, who was essential in Armstrong winning the Tour de France seven consecutive times.
