Various reports indicate that South Carolina assistant Monte Lee will be named the head coach at his alma mater, the College of Charleston.

The 31-year-old Lee will replace John Pawlowski, who recently took the top job at Auburn.

Lee just completed his sixth season on the South Carolina staff and first as recruiting coordinator.  Lee also worked with the outfielders and hitters during practice.

Another reported finalist for the job was Clemson assistant Tom Riginos.
