Clouds will return to the Western Carolinas Thursday night as an area of low pressure in the Gulf of Mexico moves closer to the SE US. Showers will increase from south to north by Friday evening with rain likely in many areas Friday night. Otherwise, cool temps will be on tap for another afternoon. Highs will mainly be in the lower 60s Upstate, 50s in the mountains. By Saturday the system will still be around, so some lingering showers could rain on your outdoor plans. It still appears that we'll clear out in time for Easter Sunday when highs will reach the lower 70s. If the system slows down, we'll extend at least clouds into Sunday as well.
