We enter Labor Day weekend with a very typical summertime weather pattern in place. High pressure to our east will mean an increased flow of moisture off the Gulf of Mexico. Add daytime heating, and the chance for some pop-up showers or storms will be with us each day.
Saturday's chance will primarily be in the mountains and closer to the SC/GA border, while areas farther east should stay dry. A few scattered showers or storms will then be possible area-wide through Monday.
We're not talking about a washout here as most activity should be hit-and-miss, but do be aware if you have outdoor plans that a few storms may come up.
Temperatures will remain above-average through the weekend and into next week.
