The South Carolina Attorney General's Office has indicted 28 people who they say were part of a methamphetamine ring.

Law officers from SLED, the Pickens County Sheriff's Office, the Greenville County Sheriff's Office, the City of Easley Police Department, and the City of Travelers Rest Police Department were involved in the roundup of more than two dozen suspects.

A state grand jury indicted the defendants on October 15. Those indictments were sealed until Monday according to the Attorney General's Office news release.

The AG says the investigation began when a resident made a report to the Pickens County Sheriff's Office. The roundup of those suspects began on Tuesday.

Bond hearings for those apprehended in the roundup will begin on Friday morning at the Pickens County Detention Center.

The Attorney General's Office will prosecute these cases.
