It's a big drug bust, eight months in the making.

On Thursday, Pickens County Deputies and Easley Police Officers arrested 26 people and served 45 warrants on drug related charges. This was a joint operation into the manufacturing and distribution of Meth, Marijuana and other controlled substances, within the county.

Sheriff David Stone said more arrests are expected. Stone praised the efforts of both agencies saying, "drug investigations are one of the most difficult and time consuming cases to work to acquire enough evidence for a later conviction in court. It’s the skill, knowledge and experience of all of the agents with these agencies and the cooperation of the public to that provides information that makes these type investigations successful."
