A popular regional restaurant is coming to the Upstate.

Tupelo Honey Cafe, with locations in North Carolina and Tennessee, will be located to the ONE Center in downtown Greenville.

Restaurant officials say the restaurant will open next summer on the ground floor of the nine-story building on the corner of Main and Laurens Street.

Owner Steve Frabitore says he knew the site would be ideal.

"Downtown Greenville is vibrant, dynamic, beautiful and thriving," Frabitore explained in a posting on the restaurant's website.

The restaurant is expected to have seating for around 140 guests, as well as a full bar, outdoor patio seating and the kitchen on display.  It will bring an estimated $1.4 million investment to downtown Greenville, according to Frabitore.

Ninety jobs are expected with the announcement.  Sixty to seventy of them will be full-time positions.

If you're interested in a job, openings will be posted on its Facebook page soon, as well as an announcement for a job fair.

Tupelo Honey has received glowing reviews from many food critics.  The grand opening is expected in May.
