Every December, more and more families are participating in Elf on the Shelf, a hide-and-seek game where kids wake up each morning and the elf is in a different spot.

The lore is that the elf is sent from Santa as a scout.  Once named, the elf gets Christmas magic and becomes part of your family.

The elf reports back to Santa, telling him whether you’ve been naughty or nice each night after you go to bed.  It flies back to the North Pole and comes back to hide in a different spot.

The elf also can’t be touched, or it will lose its powers.

Does your family take part in this tradition?  If so, share a picture with us on Facebook or by emailing it to share@wspa.com showing where your family's elf hides each day.  We'll add the photo to our gallery.
