May Caring For The Carolinas Award Winner

Jennifer Taylor is May's award recipient. She began the "Feed The Future Weekend Backpack Program" at the Sharon United Methodist Church in the Reidville Community of Spartanburg County.

Jennifer's story is great in that she first started her ministry by noticing one child who was hungry and her ministry has expanded as you know to schools all throughout Spartanburg District 5.

Jennifer says "I heard a story... about a child who didn't have enough to eat at home… and was expressing a lot of hunger at school…. and I decided that this program was something we needed in all the schools in Spartanburg County. I started with one, 10 children and it's grown to 126 children a week."

With the help of churches and community organizations, Jennifer is making a difference in the lives of children.

Pastor Matt Yon of Sharon United said "She's got a wonderful servant's heart, she's a beautiful person and does an awesome job with the ministry."
She is providing and empowering all people through all congregations and organizations through out the area to help feed children.
