Sanitation Worker Run Over By Garbage Truck In Anderson Tuesday

A sanitation worker was run over by a garbage truck early Tuesday morning in Anderson.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol says it happened on Lewis Street around 5:50 a.m.

Investigators say the man riding on the back of the truck fell off and the driver backed the truck up over him.

He was taken to the hospital.  No charges are expected to be filed.

    Clinton Public Safety has filed an attempted murder charge against the driver of a car that plowed into Bailey Manor Wednesday afternoon. Public Safety Director Robin Morse says Alton Payton, 84, will also be charged with one count of malicious damage to real property.
