Two juvenile girls were arrested Wednesday and are charged after two fires were reported near Woodmont High School in Greenville County.

A 15-year-old girl was caught after a short chase.  A 14-year-old showed up with her father a short time later to turn herself in.

Investigators say they are responsible for starting a brush fire near the intersection of Garrison Road and Reedy Fork Road in Pelzer.  They are also accused of setting fire to a vacant home nearby.  Officials say that home was destroyed by the fire.

Their identity will not be released because of their age.  The pair has been taken to the juvenile detention facility at the Greenville County law Enforcement Center.  They are charged with willfully burning lands of another, disturbing school and arson.  The 15-year-old faces an additional charge of resisting arrest.

Woodmont High School was placed on lockdown for a short time because of the incident.
