There's a push to change an animal ordinance in Gaffney. According to our coverage partners at the Herald-Journal, a man facing a $1,100 fine for violations, is asking the city to change its laws.

The Cherokee County Humane Society supports changing the ordinance. The President of the organization asked council to modify it to read that owners of three or more dogs outside for breeding or profit, should purchase a kennel license and provide a kennel facility. They also want to limit the number of dogs people can keep for pleasure, to three.
