USC Upstate hosts Diversity Conference

USC Upstate in Spartanburg is hosting the 19th annual Diversity Conference Thursday. The event is sponsored by the USC Upstate School of Education and Division of Student Affairs. The conference aims to bring teachers candidates together on the topic of diversity in the 21st century teaching and learning. Conference sessions include Special Education, Strategies for teaching and Assessing Diverse Learners, Changing the Game: Higher Standards, and The Diverse Classroom: Perspectives From a First Year Teacher.

    The Greenville Police Department and Greenville County Coroner's Office are conducting a death investigation after a man's body was found on Richardson Street.
    The Greenville  County Coroner has identified the man who was found dead at the Richardson Street Parking Garage. Jonathan Campbell Hamilton, 34, of Greenville was pronounced dead at 5:32 p.m. Sunday.
