Clemson Safety Travis Blanks suffered a head injury in practice on Monday and likely will be out until after spring break, a school spokesman said Monday evening.
Blanks saw significant playing time as a linebacker during his freshman season in 2012 and moved to his more natural position in the secondary for Clemson's bowl win over LSU.
Meanwhile, freshman defensive back Jadar Johnson suffered a dislocated elbow in practice last week and will be out until after spring break.
