7 On Your Side's Christine Scarpelli stopped by Hollywild Animal Park in Spartanburg County Friday to check in on a cute bear cub.

The Syrian Brown Bear cub has grown quite a bit since we stopped in a few weeks ago.

Hollywild Animal Park has a new resident.

7 On Your Side stopped by to snap a few pictures of the new Syrian Brown Bear cub.  It was born in January.

You'll have a chance to meet the rare bear later this month.  Park officials say the bear cub will be on display for visitors starting March 23 with a special season kick-off event.  The park is open every weekend in March.

The park is also holding a contest to name the cub.  You can submit your ideas here.   You can also submit your idea in person during park hours.
