Furman opened its 2013 spring football practice Tuesday afternoon with just five starters returning on each side of the ball.
Among those back is sophomore quarterback Reece Hannon (Greer), who saw significant action in his first season.
Other than that, a team that finished 3-8 will be building in several areas, according to head coach Bruce Fowler, who enters his third season.
