SPARTANBURG, S.C. -

Spartanburg's Jeremy Clements - a driver in the Nationwide Series - says he's been reinstated after a suspension by NASCAR.

Clements told 7 On Your Side Sports Director Pete Yanity he can return to competition after missing races at Phoenix and Las Vegas.

NASCAR suspended the driver after he admitted to making an inappropriate comment prior to the season opening NASCAR Nationwide Series race in Daytona.

Clements finished the race in 33rd place.

Part of his suspension was to go through a NASCAR-authorized sensitivity training program.

Clements finished the 2012 season among the top 15 in points in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.
