A boil water advisory has been issued for residents in several Seneca city neighborhoods.
According to city of Seneca officials, a water main break occurred around 10 a.m Thursday on Elizabeth Cain Drive. Seneca Light and Water officials issued the advisory for residents in the Saxony Forest, Lakeside Estates, Clearwater, Westwood Bay, Gelnview Court, Cedarwood and Whitewater sub-divisions, as well as sub-divisions around Luther Land Road, Beacon Shores Drive and Petty Road.
Utility crews will be flushing lines and fire hydrants all night long and residents can expect water to be ‘milky" for several days, officials say. Residents are also advised to vigorously boil all drinking and cooking water for at least a minute, as well as boiling water before consuming ice.
