Teen Charged With making Bomb Threat At Greenville County School

A teenager accused of making a bomb threat at a Greenville County High School has been charged.

Travelers Rest Police Chief Lance Crowe was unable to reveal too many details since the teenager is a minor, but did confirm that police had charged him and the case was being remanded to Family Court.

Greenville County School District spokesman Oby Lyles said that the student has been suspended from the school and has been recommended for expulsion. A note detailing the threat was found inside the school Wednesday morning. 

The teen faces a charge of conveying false information regarding attempted use of a destructive device; aiding or conspiring; penalty.
