Two people are dead after a wreck in Anderson County Friday evening.
The wreck happened around 9:16 p.m. on Highway 28 By-Pass, near Monitor Road. Anderson County Coroner Don McCown says the victims have been identified as 68 year old Henry Eugene Jones, of Easley, and his wife, 70 year old Mildred Jones.
According to family, the couple was headed home to Easley from their grandson's soccer game in Anderson County when the accident happened. McCown says the Jones' 1998 Chevy S10 pickup collided with another car, and the two were killed instantly. Both were wearing their seatbelts.
Highway Patrol troopers say the driver of the other car was taken to the hospital with severe injuries.
