
One person was injured after a police chase ended in a wreck.
The wreck happened at 11:07 a.m. Saturday morning on Redland Road in Spartanburg County, just outside the city of Landrum.
Lance Cpl. Tony Keller of the South Carolina Highway Patrol stated that a 17-year-old man from Columbus, North Carolina, was going west on Redland Road when he ran off the right side of the road, struck a ditch and overturned. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and suffered minor injuries.
7 On Your Side has learned that the driver of the car, whose name was not immediately available for release, was being pursued by Landrum Police for an unknown violation when the wreck occurred. Charges against the driver are expected to be filed by the Landrum Police Department.
