Pickens County Apartment Fire Displaces Several Residents

PICKENS, SC -

Several fire departments are at the scene of an apartment fire in Pickens County.

County officials say firefighters responded to an apartment unit on Griffin Mill Road around 3 p.m. Saturday afternoon. 7 On Your Side has learned that four ground level apartments have been damaged by the fire and 12 people have been displaced.

American Red Cross spokesman Brian Scoles said that the American Red Cross has an emergency assistance team responding to the site to assist the victims of the fire. The fire was in the attic of the building, Scoles added.
