SPARTANBURG, S.C. -

Clouds and rain will dominate Monday across the Upstate and western North Carolina before improving conditions on Tuesday.

Storm Team 7 Meteorologist Malachi Rodgers says temperatures will drop about 20 degrees from the highs we saw on Sunday.

The high temperature in the Upstate is expected to be in the low to mid 50s. Some rain is possible throughout Monday, but the heaviest precipitation is expected to arrive in the 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. time frame.

Clouds are expected to clear Tuesday morning with the return of mild temperatures. Highs should reach the middle and upper 60s.
