ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. -

Organizers are laying the groundwork for the Anderson County Fair.

The fair was on hold for several years before it was revitalized last May.

You can expect more rides and animal exhibits when it opens next month.

There will also be changes to reduce traffic headaches.

"We've spread out the midway a little bit," explains Mitch Lesi, Operations Manager of the Drew Exposition.  "We think that is just going to add to a much better event.  There were some traffic flow problems last year because some of the things were a little tight.  We didn't know what to expect.  Now we know.  We have a good idea and we're going to adapt and we're going to plan for it."

The fair runs April 30 to May 5.

Tickets will cost $5.
