GREER, SC -

The State Law Enforcement Division is investigating a shooting involving a pair of City of Greer Police Officers.

Lieutenant Jim Holcombe of the Greer Police Department said that officers responded to a call just before 7 p.m. Monday at 204 Pleasant Oak Court in Greer after receiving a report of a person discharging a firearm. When officers arrived, Holcombe said they were confronted by a man with a weapon and the officers shot the suspect, later identified as Donald Parham. He was transported to Spartanburg Regional Hospital by EMS personnel.

Holcombe said the officers have been placed on administrative leave, according to normal department policy. A spokesman for SLED said that they have investigative personnel at the scene and will conduct a investigation, according to protocol involving any officer involved shooting.

Parham is listed in serious condition

Authorities say they had been called to that address one time before the latest incident.
