Henderson County Sheriff's investigators say a man in their custody has admitted to a murder in Orlando, Florida.

Ryan Doyle, 23, was arrested after deputies say he showed up at Park Ridge Hospital in Fletcher around 1:30 a.m. Monday with a gunshot wound.

HCSO investigators say Doyle told them he was traveling to Kentucky from Florida. Orlando authorities reported Doyle was linked to the death of Lora Fischer.

Henderson County Sheriff's Office investigators say Doyle confessed to murdering Fischer. He apparently shot himself in Spartanburg County where he tossed out the weapon used in the homicide in Florida.

Spartanburg County Sheriff's Office deputies found the discarded gun early Tuesday morning.

Doyle was booked into the Henderson County Detention Facility on a fugitive warrant from Florida for the murder of Fischer. He is under no bond and awaiting extradition.

Orlando authorities are in Henderson County now.
