The South Carolina Highway Patrol says it happened on Willingham Road around 4 p.m.
ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. -
Two teenagers were injured after a car wreck in Anderson County Tuesday afternoon.
The wreck happened at 3:55 p.m. on Willingham Road, just north of the town of Belton.
Lance Cpl. Bill Rhyne of the South Carolina Highway Patrol said that 18-year-old David Visoso, of Belton, was driving a 2004 Dodge Stratus south on Willingham Road when he drove off the right side of the road. Rhyne said that Visoso overcorrected and then ran off the left side of the road and struck a concrete culvert that caused the car to overturn.
A juvenile female passenger in the car was injured and had to be airlifted to Greenville Memorial Hospital. Visoso was wearing a seatbelt and transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The Highway Patrol is investigating the accident, Rhyne stated.
