Man Sought After Attempted Carjacking At Greenville Co Walmart

GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. -

Authorities in Greenville County are looking for a man accused of an attempted carjacking in the parking lot of a Walmart.

Deputies say it happened on Sunday at the Woodruff Road store around 8 p.m.

The white male allegedly tried to pull a 73-year-old man from his vehicle.  The suspect ran away after the victim got him out of his vehicle, investigators say.  The victim suffered minor injuries.

The attempted carjacker is described as being between 50 and 60-years-old, and standing between 5'8" and 5'11" tall and weighing around 170 pounds.

The sheriff's office released a photo of the suspect.

    The Greenville Police Department and Greenville County Coroner's Office are conducting a death investigation after a man's body was found on Richardson Street.
    The Greenville  County Coroner has identified the man who was found dead at the Richardson Street Parking Garage. Jonathan Campbell Hamilton, 34, of Greenville was pronounced dead at 5:32 p.m. Sunday.
