Belk, the popular department store, will be offering free mammograms at two of their Upstate stores next weekend.
The BelkGives on the Go Mobile Mammography Center, a nearly 40-foot-long screening center on wheels, will be at the Belk in Haywood Mall in Greenville on Friday, March 29th and will be at the Westgate Mall location in Spartanburg on Saturday, March 30th. It will be in both locations from 9:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
All of the exams will be done by Charlotte Radiology's licensed, female mammography-certified technologists. A certified radiologist specializing in reading breast imaging will also be on hand to interpret the mammogram. The results will be confidential and will be sent to the patient and her primary care physician.
All women who are 40 years old or over with no breast concerns and have not had a mammogram in the last 12 months are eligible.
Appointments can be made by calling 855-655-BMMC (2662).
The Mobile Mammography Center is currently on a tour stopping at 113 Belk locations across North and South Carolina and Tennessee.
