One person was injured in a wreck in Spartan burg County Wednesday night.
The wreck happened just before 9 p.m. on Landrum Mill Road at Redland Road.
According to authorities, after the car wrecked, a man managed to escape before it caught fire. Firefighters from the Landrum Fire Department responded and found the car fully engulfed in flames and the fire had spread to a grassy area just a short distance from where the car was located.
Firefighters managed to get the fire under control, but the car suffered extensive damage. The unidentified driver of the car was transported to the hospital by ambulance, officials said.
