Volunteers Work To Keep The Reedy River Clean

Posted: Updated:
GREENVILLE, S.C. -

Approximately 50 volunteers spent their Friday morning cleaning up the Reedy River.

The volunteers, who were faculty, staff and students from Greenville Technical College, worked for three hours to clean up the Lake Conestee Nature Park area.

The project is part of Beach Sweep/River Sweep, a Department of Natural Resources volunteer effort to keep South Carolina's waterways clean and trash free.

This was one of many service projects sponsored this year by Greenville Tech Gives Back, a community service initiate involving faculty, staff, and students working to improve the community.
