Columbia Hosts Statewide BBQ Cook Off

COLUMBIA, S.C. -

More than 40 barbecue participants from across the state are gathering in West Columbia this weekend in the second annual "Smokin' At The Farmer's Market" BBQ Cook Off.

The event takes place Friday, March 22nd and Saturday, March 23rd at the State Farmer's Market on Charleston Highway in West Columbia.

The cook off starts Friday night from 5 pm to 9 pm and the main barbecue event takes place Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm.

Admission is $10 for adults and kids 12 and under get in for free, with a donation of three canned food items to Harvest Hope.
