Groundbreaking Ceremony Held For Korean War Veterans Memorial

GREENVILLE, S.C. -

A groundbreaking ceremony was held for a new Korean War Veterans Memorial in Greenville county.

It was held at Conestee Park on Mauldin Road in Greenville Saturday afternoon.

The memorial will include an Honors Walkway of engraved memory bricks to honor the memory of a veteran.

Construction on the memorial will start in May, with a dedication set for June 1st.

The cost for a single engraved brick is $50 or $75 for a double brick.

Members and friends are encouraged to order before the walkway is installed.

Members of the Foothills Chapter have been raising funds for the past 26 months with great response from the Greenville Community.
